Overview
Procurement is a key function of Coventry University's Professional Services function and is responsible for facilitating the delivery of value for money within the University's Schools and Professional Services Departments. Procurement ensures that goods, services, and works are procured compliantly within the confines of the current UK Procurement Act Regulations 2023 (PA2023) and the University's own policies and procedures.
The Group operates a centralised Procurement function operating as part of the Finance Department, which is based at the Armstrong Siddeley Building, and provides:
- Advice and management of all aspects of procurement including the legal aspects of the PA2023 legalisation.
- Conducting procurement processes and awarding contracts.
- Supplier relationship and contract management.
- Sustainability reporting.
- Participation and advice on commercial projects such as Office for Students funded projects.
- P2P (Purchase to Pay process) – including the approval process for requisitions and new supplier creation.
- New Supplier set-up.
- Value for Money compliance.
